Mike Washington is a respected equity strategist and leader in government relations with over a decade of experience in advancing inclusive policies and building stronger, more equitable communities. He currently works as an Equity Consultant at HDR Inc., where he collaborates with public agencies and private organizations to ensure that equity is integrated into the planning and execution of significant infrastructure and development projects.

Prior to joining HDR, Mike held senior leadership positions with U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, serving as the Deputy State Director and the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In these roles, he led outreach initiatives across Colorado, contributed to impactful legislation, and provided advice on critical policy issues, including transportation, economic justice, and small business development.

Mike spent over 14 years at the Regional Transportation District (RTD), where he developed federally recognized equity programs and advocated for policies that made public transit more affordable and accessible for working families. With a strong commitment to uplifting underrepresented communities, Mike combines a collaborative spirit with a strategic mindset and a passion for connecting policy to real-world outcomes.
