Justin Adams is an award-winning journalist and proud native of Denver, Colorado. A
versatile newsroom member, Justin is the morning news and sports reporter/anchor for CBS
News Colorado. He is also a play-by-play broadcaster for Altitude Sports & Entertainment
and the Mountain West Network. His experience in sports broadcasting extends to the Pac-12
Network and FloSports. He has broadcasted football, men’s and women’s basketball,
volleyball, lacrosse, and soccer. He also works as a Sports Anchor for Da’ Fixx Radio Show
on Sirius XM Radio, helping the show to win a Stellar Award in 2024.
Justin has also been featured as a writer for Black Entertainment Television (BET) and has
been a featured guest on FOX Sports Radio. He has served as the Voice of the Regis Rangers
(Regis University) and has worked for several sports radio stations including 104.3 The Fan,
KOA NewsRadio, Altitude Sports Radio, and Mile High Sports. Justin is passionate about
sports, specifically in historically detailing the lives of past great African-American baseball
players in the Mile-High City.
Justin embarked on a journalism career by working at Denver7 in 2010 as a Digital Content
Producer, video editor, and photojournalist. In 2014, he became a sports host for the
Buffaloes Stampede, Buffs Talk, Primetime Sports, and sports anchor on Colorado Morning
News for KOA NewsRadio. Later, he became a sports reporter, and college football and
basketball color commentator for Ingrum Sports Production Network (ISPN), Colorado. He
has served the community as a Vice-President of the Colorado Association of Black
Journalists and has furthered his leadership portfolio by joining the Urban Leadership
Foundation, where he was the recipient of the Wellington Webb Leadership and Legacy
Excellence Award in 2022. The award is named after Wellington Webb, who was the first
African-American mayor in Denver’s history.
Beyond the professional life, Justin gives back to his community by serving as a life-skills
mentor and football coach for Athletics and Beyond, which is a program that mentors high
school student-athletes. Justin was a college football student-athlete, playing tight end for the
Colorado Buffaloes from 2004-2006. He won two Big 12 North Championships with the
Buffs in 2004 and 2005.
Centered on his Christian faith, Justin weekly joins other former college and professional
athletes in After The Game Ministries (ATG). ATG acts as a bridge for athletes looking to
find meaning in life after they have finished playing sports. In all, Justin’s biggest goal in life
is to leave a proud legacy that would span multiple generations.
