Andre Cunningham, a migrant from Clarendon, Jamaica, has made Denver home for
21yrs. Andre has worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 19yrs and is the
Union President for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE).
When Andre is not representing the rights of Nurses, Doctors, Police Officers and
other VA professionals, he spends his spare time masterminding innovative ideas on
how to build generational wealth for his family. Andre is filming a documentary in
Jamaica to highlight the issue of children normalizing traumatic moments. One of
